Parkwood Mental Center has been around for about the last 20 years or so. Established in 1992, it gained a pretty good reputation when it comes to helping the teenagers and young adults it treats. While it's high success rate has slightly dwindled over the years, it's still known as a reputable center to help treat teens and young adults with mental disorders. It serves patients aged 13 and above.

Autumn-May, yes, Autumn-May, was a girl who was raised by negligence. Her mother was a famous actress and her father was a producer, so the young girl was handed from nanny to nanny all the time. She hardly ever got to see her parents but she understood why that was. When she turned eight, she was asked to audition for a role on a television show, and at first, she didn’t want to, only because she thought that it meant she’d end up being too tired to attend school the next day, but when she was informed otherwise, Autumn auditioned and won the role and it was then that she caught the acting bug. She began auditioning for other roles, in movies and TV shows and soon she became a teen idol, admired by thousands all over the world, but she hated it. She might have loved acting, but she hated the negative comments the came with it. Autumn was bullied online by strangers and peers and she didn’t know how to control it, leaving her to spiral into a deep, dark depression that was all too common when it came to acting. However, Autumn had to keep her head up and lock the pain away as she still had many more things to do with her job but soon that too all became far too much for her. She was helping out a member of the crew with some props that needed to be moved when she caught her hand on a sharp nail, blood immediately seeping out of the cut and from then, it was a blackout. Autumn woke up in hospital with a bandage wrapped around her hand and wrist and it was explained to her that she was mentally unstable and that she had supposedly attempted suicide using the nail that cut her hand. The minute that the doctor’s deemed her fit enough for her return home, Autumn was admitted into Parkwood to start a hopefully speedy recovery. She has yet to remember details of the day she almost died as it’s all still a blur, but she’s not sure if she’s ready to remember, knowing that once she does, she’ll be recovering and recovery is not something she wants, not when Parkwood is an escape from the hatred and negativity that was spat at her in the real world.

Hey all, its Andrea.
I just wanted to drop in on the main super quick and just give a quick announcement on what’ll be going on for me in the coming weeks and how it may, (or may not) effect my activity.
Next Tuesday, the 17th, I’ll be in the hospital from the morning up until probably late afternoon seeing a specialist and running some tests regarding some health issues that have come up lately, I don’t really wanna go into detail on the dash, or even in the ooc blog, however if you’d really like to know you can message me and I’ll fill you in a little more.
Between that and a few things that have been going on at school lately some of you may have noticed that my activity has dropped a great amount and I do apologize for that, it sucks and I miss you guys more than you know, and I believe Ken had mentioned once the last time I asked her to post on my behalf, that I do have a kik, and if any of you would like it so we can chat a little more even if we cant be RPing, message me and I will be glad to supply you with that.
As for after next week, I had to pick up a few extra shifts to pay for some expenses that came up out of the blue along with it being so close to Christmas, and on that topic, I hope all of those who celebrated Hanukkah had a wonderful holiday, and I hope all of you who celebrate Christmas have one just as wonderful.
This is not me saying that I wont be on, because I will be, just not on all my characters and certainly not as much as usual. If anyone wants we can set up a few chatzys to RP in, those usually being easier for me because I can always just reply from my phone.
Thank you in advance, and you guys are seriously the best.
Well guys, here’s another one of those typical serious admin posts to address a couple of things that seem to be becoming an issue again. But first things first, We’re not too far away from Christmas and that’s pretty exciting, because that means before long, we’ll be at our two year mark for Parkwood, now believe me, not many role plays last that long, so that fact that Parkwood is still standing, even now, is absolutely fantastic, but now to our serious stuff.
In this post, things will be mentioned, things that apply to more than one person in this group, but this is a general post with general examples to help get our point across because this has happened more than once. However, if you feel as though I have hung your dirty laundry out to dry, then please contact me on one of MY characters, NOT THE MAIN, and we will discuss the issue. Anyone that has an issue with this post is to contact me, as I, Admin Sha, was the one to write it and express the issues and Ken & Andrea do not need to get involved in something that came from my mouth/keyboard.
First off, patience- Okay, listen. Each and every one of us live in a time zone that is pretty much the opposite of another and that does make certain role playing aspects difficult, especially when, for example, our school years are different. I know for a fact that I’m literally…less than half a day away from finishing my school year, whereas people are almost about to go on their Christmas break, then they’re back at school etc. And that last couple of weeks are always stressful, so when I’m on, it’s usually only because I have muse for a single character etc. but my point here is that we have to wait. Not everything will be tended to immediately, not everything will be answered immediately and not everything will be responded to immediately. This is just a basic thing, and unfortunately, if you end up waiting nearly a week for something, then that’s just how it’s going to have to be, because we are all dealing with our own things, whether it be school, personal issues, work… it doesn’t matter, we have to WAIT. Now, I understand very clearly that some people (me included) have issues with patience, but it will be tended to… once we get the chance. Now, it’s okay to send in a message (once.) asking about whatever it is you’re after, but please do not constantly tell us that you’re waiting on something or something like that. You need to have patience, meaning that once your message has been sent, send in an ask to confirm that we have received the message and once you receive a response confirming that we have it, then just please, wait. It will sometimes take more than week to get to one thing because all three admins have to agree with whatever it is.
Okay, yes, in the past we have been fast with the turnaround, but things have changed, and as the admins, we have the right to take our time to process things and we also have the right to deny certain things, so please, never, ever assume that you will be Okayed with something, ever. I can speak for a lot of people when I say that it is frustrating and annoying and it makes us want to slap the person closest to us to exhort our pent-up frustration from an assumption. So please, do not ever assume you will get something, whether it is a storyline or even an accepted application- You could already be in the roleplay, but we can still deny you a second/third/fourth/so on character. We have that right as admins.
Another thing- always make sure you check the rules, because sometimes there is a sporadic change and you guys need to ensure that you still understand them and you won’t break them, which brings me to this. There are no more second chances. The minute you break a rule- you’re gone. That’s that. No begging for second chances, because once we ask you to leave this group, unfortunately, that decision is final. So do be careful about what you do or say…
So, in short, read the rules because there are no more second chances, be patient because this is a rule and never, ever assume anything anymore.
To signify that you have read this, please like the post.
